- What are your fees?
For a single dog, $35.00 per day. Additional dogs from the same family sharing a house: $20.00 per day for the second dog. Special pricing for additional dogs. Inquire about Salty Paws Pet Resort discounts.
- What are your hours?
Monday thru Saturday: 8:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm-5: 30pm.
Sunday: 9:00am-11:00am and 3:00pm-5: 30pm.
- How will my bill be calculated?
We charge on a per day basis. You may bring your dog(s) any time during our regular business hours. Regardless of when you arrive with your dog, the first day counts as a full day of boarding. If your pet checks out before 11:00 am you will not incur a charge for the day of check out. If you check out after 11:00 am you will be charged a $10.00 per dog surcharge.
- What vaccines are required?
All dog(s) must be up to date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof of Rabies, DHLPP (distemper), Bortetella (canine cough) and a negative fecal test. Bordatella must be done every 6 months. Your may have your veterinarian office FAX a record of the vaccines directly to us prior to your dog(s) arrival. Our fax number is: 910-741-4003.
- What do I need to bring for my pet?
Salty Paws Pet Resort wants to make things easy on you and your dog(s) as possible. We will provide everything your pet will need during their visit. We have food, bed, toys, and treats. However, to make your dog (s) more comfortable, please bring favorite food, bed, and blanket.
- What kind of food do you feed?
We feed our guests a premium grain free dog food. We have a variety of treats that include homemade treats, fruit, ice-cream, and plenty of ice cubes. Room service is delivered early in the morning and early evening or per request. If your dog requires pill pockets for medications we will provide that.
- Can I bring my own food and beds?
You are more than welcome to bring your dog(s) food, but in must be a labeled airtight container with feeding instructions. You are more than welcome to bring your dog(s) bed, but we cannot guarantee that the bed will be returned in the same condition as presented. Please make sure items are washable and are label with any items that you bring.
- What is a typical day like?
A typical day consists of morning potty/exercise time. This is followed by breakfast and then outside for additional playtime. Then back to their houses for a rest. After nap time, back outside for playtime and socialization, which is followed with a special treat for the day. Around 4:00pm everyone is in their house for getting ready for dinnertime between 5:00-5:30 pm. Then outside again for playtime and potty time before bedtime and a good night sleep.
